The Samsung PN50C800 displays uniformity and displays wonderfully balanced color information. At the first look, colors may seem a slightly washed aout and weak but further viewing reveals them to be extremely accurate and realistic while plently saturated. Brightness, contrast, color redition and processing all appear superior to the lower and Samsungplasma TV models.

3D viewing

The C8000 and accompaniying 3D glasses did a good job of further into the on screen images. It makes you feel more involved. THe picture presentation from the C8000 in 3D was very vibrant and accurate. There was some flashing effects from the 3D shutter glasses in situation where lamp light or window light interfered with the glasses receiver, often when you turning your head.

Contrast/Black Level

Details in the dark areas of the picture were clearly visible. Blacks appear saturated from the black/purple plasma screen panel. The black bars top and bottom during movies appear inky black and contrast measured a respectable 1724:1. You can view in the angles were perfect at the most extreme side angles with no contrast degradation.

Judder

Judder is always present in TVs. It occurs mostly during panning side to side in film based material, It's just about a matter of how much you notice it. As we know, the C8000 series plasma has a judder reduction feature called Motion Judder Controller. This feature distorts the picture by reeducing natural background blur thus presenting an unnatural looking soap opera effect to the picture. This feature comes with several setting levels but they all act about the same.Through viewing many dark gray scenes there was no mapping or false contouring present, this is a imoressive results for an occasional plasma problem.

The Samsung PN50C8000 calls the bezel a Touch of Color a Titanium. PN50C8000 with less than 2" framing bezel can featured beautiful contrast. And with many design elements including a clear neck on the chrome swiveling top stand. Heavy and attractive accompanying stand swivels to 20 degrees.

Remote Control and menu Functionally

In remote control, Samsung PN50C8000 features superb with a expensive feel, matte metal chrome finish. The menu systempresents itself as an colorful overlay with a convenient tutorial feature appearing in bottom of the screen. Menu option is very complete, every button also lights up for a second upon depression.

Audio Output Quality

Audio output was impressive from the 10W x 10W speakers. Sound quality well balanced. Use the Clear Voice features as much to as possible for addede voice definition.
